News about Grace Place: A Home for Women
Many Thanks to the Highlands Quilting Guild!

The Ladies of the Highlands Quilting Guild have out done themselves!
Each of the beds at Grace Place will be covered with a lovingly handmade
quilt.
We want to thank these ladies for their hard work and generous gift, what a blessing!

GRACE PLACE - Outdoor Sanctuary

A little greenery adds to a home.

We are looking more and more like our vision: a Home for Women.

Feeling good about security at Grace Place

Our fence is finished and the deck almost done.

A little closer to our goal as we start to set up the house

John has worked so hard getting all the things done.
We have had great help
from Ed Akers, who works almost every
day helping with finishing touches,
and there are lots of them.
We still need stalls in the bathroom, etc.
Today Ed is on a tractor working on the lawn.

Below is our House-Mother's bathroom.

This is our community room for study, fellowship, and praise.

Grace Place looking more like home!

Christina & Ivan Milano, Milano Tile

Christina and Ivan Milano have just delivered to us all the tile for our ladies shower room!  Best grade commercial porcelain tile. We are so excited.  Tile was started today on the floors.
Tell them you love them too.

Special June Volunteer

Mallory Clark, our granddaughter spent some
time volunteering during her visit with us this month.

Mallory is will be a sophomore in high school this year in Boise, ID.
She comes for a visit each summer  and works hard while she is here.
This year she graduated to computers and was a great help in the office.

We enjoy Mallory's visits every summer and thank her for all her hard work!

Watching the progress, our

A WINNER: A SAFE PLACE TOTE

JoAnn Newton crafted this Safe Place bag in a contest
with a group of professional Christian women.  Her bag
was a winner.  We like it too.

A Safe Place: STAFF TRAINING IN PROGRESS

Our Support Staff are getting ready, learning and growing.
From the left, Mary Tinberg (CARE leader), Ruth Hoffman,
and Charlotte Heston. Rear row are Helen Bingenheimer,
JoAnn Newton, Nita Fisher, and Judy Keppen.  Many of these
ladies have attended our meetings and programs for
several years now. They are eager to pass on the skills they
have acquired.

Our Web Editor in town for a visit

Natalie Moore, our daughter from
North Carolina, came for a visit in
May and helped us get our logos, and
pamphlets for the womens home
together.  She has revamped our
website and is keeping us in the
technical new age, showing us how
to navigate the web.  Natalie is
an art teacher and a great friend
of the ministry.

Volunteers - Volunteers - Volunteers

Ed Akers and Tom Engeman are our
newest hardworking volunteers.  We had
changes to bring us up to code and these
two men have been working very hard in
this hot weather to complete the job. We
are hoping to be ready to hang wallboard
by July 5. If you can volunteer, please
call John at  863-214-9683.
